Trying to tune TG up a bit...

  • So TG was cutting edge like a decade ago....LOL....

Now everyone is all Facebook fabulous and Twitter whatever......OK time to evolve....

Here is my issue, and I think it is a Bulldogger issue, and I am trying to fix it.

The posts on here on True-Grit stay on here as a repository. Very likely the largest American Bulldog repository in the world. True-Grit is a historical archive for the AB....Discussions about dogs, breedings etc can be researched here like no where else in the world...It's well over a decade of all that is American Bulldog...

With that I think a lot of recent discussion about these dogs is being lost. Posted into facebook to be scattered about, forgotten about and gone forever. I'm not sure that is good for the breed to loose that.

I will admit TG has become a bit of a dinosaur...And it's time to try to change.

I'm linking to FB and Twitter, which may help a bit by spotlighting posts here on FB and Twitter...Maybe that way there is some integration between TG and social media. Posts here will be seen on FB and Twitter. It's up and running. I'm working out the kinks...But it looks like it'll work....

On a side note: I have found THOUSANDS of old AB community pictures from TG that I plan on getting back online. These are old pictures that misplaced here over the years, puppies, dogs, shows and the Bulldog community in General. The pictures will take a bit as I have to purchase some type of better gallery software integration for TG, but it'll come eventually.

    That's about it for now....

  •        Hey Scott,
Just wanted to Thank-You for maintaining this board for over a decade! And OFC, behind every good man there is a great woman, right? Kudos to you & Brenda for keeping this board alive! And especially through all that you & your family have gone through!
Sooooo Sorry to hear about all that!!! :(
I was always a lurker on the board...and a newb in the beginning... but weren't we all? I haven't posted since about 6 years ago, but I just got on True Grit yesterday & saw everything that had happened to you & to the board. I am so Thankful that it is still here...and that you are back!!! I spent most of last night & today going through old threads & remembering things that I read a decade ago.. and a lot of stuff that I hadn't read yet.
True-Grit is a Wealth of compiled information that isn't replicated anywhere else! And I, for one, am sure glad you are preserving it!!!
And my old school arse will figure how to load funds this week to my Paypal and make a Donation!!! I'm out of beer & been rambling too much, but Thanks Again 4 Everything!!!
                                                       Sincerely,
                                                              Tim

  • Really appreciating the kind words. Yea, Brenda ran it all while I was away. Just cannot appreciate that enough. She's still running stuff...GRIN

I stumble through old threads too....They take me back. Working on getting old pics back too.....Little by little.

Actually the board is runing really well. I did a ton of work on it before going down so it would run smooth in my abscense, it paid off. Now it is tweaking and tuning...The social media stuff is a pain, but oh well.

  •      Man, Can't wait to get the search option back... Sure miss the old MoneyPak cards to load Paypal... I bought a MoneyPak "Reloadable Prepaid Visa", but they want too much info & fee's & I refuse to link my Bank account w/ Paypal... call me old fashioned & untrusting!  :o  LoL
Can I send funds the old fashioned way? And if so, is this:

    Scott Tobin

    Nicholson, PA

the current place to send it?
                                             Thx!
